American Icon Production Brought Back From China

Acro Brought Production of an American Icon Back to our Hometown of Milwaukee..

Have You Even Seen the “Jar of Combs” at a Barber or Perhaps Pulled Your Straw Out of One at a Diner?

Those Jars have been a staple of americana for almost a century.  Production of the metal components was outsourced to China years ago for costs reduction.  Using new technology and taking advantage of the closing labor rates; Acro recently produced new tools and began manufacturing of  these components.  The “Slow Draw” capabilities of our new servo presses has allowed a pre-polished material to be drawn and formed without distortion to the finish.  Under old production methods, finished parts had to be hand polished.
